What You'll Do... As a Senior Accountant with American Pest, you will have a broad exposure to almost all accounting functions in overseeing the accounting team who are responsible for reporting, general accounting, and payroll. You'll help in establishing internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget prep, assist in business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets, and oversee the production of periodic financial reports. You'll work with both management as well as our parent company (Anticimex) - presenting recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies, assisting with tax filings, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.


Who You Are... So, what does it take to be a successful in this one-of-a-kind Senior Accountant position at American Pest? For starters, you'll have at least a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. You'll also have...

  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience required
  • A CPA (preferred)
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups
  • A strong understanding and functional application of MS Office Suite
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities according to urgency and importance in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to review the work of others for accuracy and reasonableness
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Proficiency in D365
  • The ability to be a positive, up-beat, team-player
  • High attention to detail and a desire for getting things right
  • The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Our Hiring Process... Knowing what to expect when job hunting is always a welcome relief. Our process for this position includes the following steps:

Upon successful completion of training, pest technicians will receive their own company vehicle with gas card for all work-related driving. Technicians will also be scheduled routes in accordance to their location of residence to reduce drive time and be as efficient as possible. American Pest is a virtually paperless company - our technicians do not need to constantly drive to and from the office.
