*This is a Hybrid position working 2 days per week from home and 3 days from our office in Fulton, MD*

What You'll Do... As a Junior Accountant with American Pest, you'll support the Accounting team by keeping our financial records accurate, organized, and up to date. You'll handle everything from journal entries and high-volume bank reconciliations to tracking vehicle expenses and assisting with audits and budgets. Working closely with the Controller and VP of Finance, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting functions while helping improve processes and maintain strong internal controls.

Who You Are... So, what does it take to be a successful Junior Accountant at American Pest? For starters, you'll have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance. You'll also have...

• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups
• A strong understanding and functional application of MS Office Suite
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities according to urgency and importance in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the US) required
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
• The ability and willingness to keep and maintain confidential information
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy
• The ability to be a positive, up-beat, team-player
• A high attention to detail and a desire for getting things right
• The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
• The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
