In this role, you'll join a small, highly dedicated HR team and take ownership of compliance and leave of absence administration as well as be involved in employee relations, benefits administration, mergers and acquisitions, and serving as the backup for our corporate recruiter. What You'll Do... As a HR Generalist with American Pest, you will have a hand in a wide variety of HR tasks and responsibilities. Primarily, you'll oversee compliance employee handbook and policies, I9s, posting requirements, federal & state laws and regulations, etc. You'll also be involved in benefits administration, from preparing benefits materials for new hire enrollment and processing benefits termination to assisting employees with their benefits questions and much more. Additionally, you'll be involved with leave of absence administration, general employee relations, and mergers and acquisitions. You'll also function as a backup to the recruiter and assist with our affirmative action plan. If you've been an HR Generalist, you know there is always more to it than this, but that should give you a good idea!

Who You Are... So, what does it take to be successful as an HR Generalist at American Pest? For starters, you'll be detail oriented, organized, and analytical with great customer service and follow-up skills. You'll also have...

• 3-5 years of experience in a Generalist role
• A bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business
• A firm understanding of the HR role and associated body of knowledge
• Understanding of State and Federal healthcare regulations
• High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, and HRIS (Workday experience preferred)
• A strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Experience in creating and delivering presentations to all levels of an organization
• The ability to travel as necessary
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities according to urgency and importance
• Well-developed organization and time management skills
• The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
