Government Pest Control Technician
General Summary:
Provides safe and effective pest management services to government customers, to achieve required performance outcomes. Promotes company with customers and takes advantage of opportunities to strengthen ties with existing and prospective customers. Keeps records of service activities, and submits reports to management as required.
To qualify for employment, individuals must meet the Required Basic Qualifications and possess the Required

attain the Required Certification(s), demonstrate the Required Knowledge, develop the Required Skills, and

Basic Qualifications - Required:
• REQUIRED:
• - Valid motor vehicle operator's license
• - Read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• - At least 21 years of age
• - Legal authority to work in the U.S.
• - Possess high school diploma or G.E.D.
• - Available to work required nights
• - Free of any illegal drug use
Basic Qualifications
• - Two or more years of experience in pest control service
Required Credentials/Certification(s):
• - MUST have State pest control licensing
- - Must be able to get security clearance badge
Required Knowledge:
• - Reading, writing, and speaking English, and basic mathematics
• - Communication technologies such as Nextel, e-mail, web
• - Organizing and prioritizing tasks and time
• - Predominant pest pressures and treatment alternatives
• - Assigned territory, customers and their preferences/needs
• - Treatment regulations and safety procedures
• - Computer handheld technology
Required Skills:
• - Reading, writing, and arithmetic
• - Organizing and managing time
• - Inspecting and diagnosing pest problems
• - Performing safe and effective pest management
Required Physical Abilities:
• - Sit, stand, walk, hear, touch, talk, write, type, smell, drive, crouch, crawl, see close up and far away, use
handheld computer, use computer monitor and keyboard, ascend/descend a ladder, use small hand/power tools, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and tolerate heights, confined working spaces, and variable weather conditions.

• Communicates with customers and the Company, in a timely fashion, to assure a smooth flow of service.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate records of service time, materials and other required customer information.
CARE AND CUSTODY
• Maintains care and custody of company vehicle, communication equipment, and other tools, materials and
records.
SALES SUPPORT
• Works cooperatively to refer, promote or sell new services, new customers.
• Continues to resell (retain) through service quality.
OTHER
• Performs other duties as required.
Required Competencies:
• Customer is satisfied with work performed.
Upon successful completion of training, pest technicians will receive his/her own company vehicle with gas card for all work-related driving. The company is virtually paperless, so our techs do not need to constantly drive to and from the office.
