Full-Time Senior Accountant

Your organizational skills, as well as prioritizing competencies, will be essential in your path to success as you manage the Company's Credit Card receipts, payment of bills, and petty cash funds. Additionally, being responsible for the assisting and oversight of the accounts receivable and payable functions will allow you to showcase your ability to be accurate in a working environment.

Through your ability to communicate in an effective, professional manner, you will be helping ensure transactions are not only posted in the proper period, but also to the correct account, company class, and Employee. Through utilization of your skillset, you will help in providing accurate financial statements in a timely manner though proper account reconciliations and detailed review.

If you accept this job, you will gain experience in a variety of accounting functions, including, but not limited to cash disbursements, accounts receivables, accounts payable, payroll assistance, general ledger entry and reconciliation, and financial reporting.

The job will consist primarily of the following job duties:

• Assistance in Accounts Receivable and Payable Cycles
  • (AR) Record payments to customer accounts and resolve any potential account questions
  • (AR) Run customer credit card batches and update accounts for failed charges
  • (AR) Engage management over any AR problems encountered
  • (AP) Code invoices with the correct GL account via our software AvidXchange
  • (AP) Record employee credit card charges and code to the correct GL account
  • (AP) Manage large invoices utilizing Microsoft Excel to disaggregate by department and employee
• Cash Disbursements
  • Pay bills via check, online, and/or phone
  • Process payments in QuickBooks
  • Disburse petty cash through verification of documentation and recording entry
• Assistance with Payroll Functions
  • Enter semi-monthly payroll entry into QuickBooks
  • Reconcile payroll deductions with corresponding payables
• Other Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations (Balance Sheet Accounts)
  • Assist in month-end close as needed with end goal of providing accurate, timely financial statements

Qualifications:

*Four-year accounting degree from an accredited university

*Minimum 2 year of accounting experience required

*Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP formulas are frequently used

*Ideal candidates are meticulous in their work, very detail-oriented, have a high sense of urgency, and have a strong ability to reconcile balances.

*Ability to communicate and interact effectively with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
