Full-Time Accounts Payable Accountant

As a member of this team, you know that data accuracy is critical to an organization. Being responsible for the oversight and completion of accounts payable functions from receipt of invoice through payment, the entry and recordation of minute details - GL code, disaggregation of department class, due date, etc. will allow you to showcase your ability to be accurate in a working environment. Your organizational skills, as well as prioritizing competencies, will be essential in your path to success as you manage the Company's credit card receipts, payment of bills, and petty cash funds.

Through the ability to communicate in an effective, professional manner amongst both employees and vendors , you will be helping ensure transactions are not only posted in the proper period, but also to the correct account, company class, and employee. If you accept this job, you will gain experience in a variety of accounting functions, including, but not limited to - accounts payable, account reconciliation, general ledger, and financial reporting.

The job will consist primarily of the following job duties:

• Full Accounts Payable Cycle (from receipt of invoices through payment)
  • Code invoices with the correct GL account via our software AvidXchange
  • Record employee credit card charges and code to the correct GL account
  • Manage large invoices utilizing Microsoft Excel to disaggregate by department and employee
  • Input bills as needed into QuickBooks
  • Pay bills via check, online, and/or phone
  • Process and record payments in QuickBooks

• Assistance with Payroll Functions
  • Enter semi-monthly payroll entry into QuickBooks
  • Reconcile payroll deductions with corresponding payables

• Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain electronic filing system for CC and Employee Expense Receipts
  • Disburse petty cash through verification of documentation and recording entry
  • Assist in month-end close as needed

Qualifications:

*Four-year accounting degree from an accredited university

*Minimum 1 year of accounting experience required

*Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP formulas are frequently used

*Ideal candidates are meticulous in their work, very detail-oriented, have a high sense of urgency, and have a strong ability to reconcile balances.

*Ability to communicate and interact effectively with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
