Entry-Level Marketing Assistant

Responsibilities:

-Manage American Pest's social media platforms:  Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and other relevant sites
-Assist Marketing Manager with administrative duties
-Address customer inquiries received via social media platforms, review websites, email, or chat, and other duties as assigned
-Collaborate with agency to create and publish weekly blog posts
-Create, edit and publish website content
-Work across departments to ensure proper messaging is being executed online and is relevant to organizational goals
-Support and protect the American Pest brand by ensuring positive messaging is maintained within the community by responding promptly to reviews on Angie's List, Yelp, and others
-Establish consistency of message across multiple networks
-Manage online discussions by listening to users, reading between the lines, and responding in a timely manner to user's needs and requests
-Monitor and track discussion topics for management team
-Prepare reports to for management team
-Maintain email database
-Coordinate marketing events throughout the year
-Other entry level marketing duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager (i.e. company newsletter, promotional material purchasing, mailings, etc.)

Skills:

• Must have exceptional traditional writing and grammatical skills and a flair for creating powerful and engaging conversations
• Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly
• Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills
• Ability to juggle several open projects while reporting to more than one supervisor/project manager
• Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas
• Online search expert able to track and monitor postings relevant to the brand
• Diligent work ethic and insatiable desire to expand skills and be the best
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Mail Chimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator preferred.

Skills that would be helpful in this position include a strong understanding of basic marketing principles, familiarity with search engine optimization and other internet marketing disciplines.
