What You'll Do... As the Controller at American Pest, you'll oversee all our accounting functions: accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, billing, account reconciliation, all general ledger functions, financial reporting, etc. You're love of structure will ensure each task is carefully completed before checking it off your to-do list. You will oversee our month-end close process and assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. While answering to the Vice President of Finance, you will have direct supervision over the accounting department (3-4 direct reports) and you'll lead your team with positivity and enthusiasm, fostering a fun, team-focused workplace. You'll embrace technology to better perform your job and make it easier to accomplish your goals and hit aggressive deadlines. Most importantly, you'll treat your team and your colleagues with professionalism and compassion, and you value working for a company with high integrity.

Who You Are... So, what does it take to be a successful in this one-of-a-kind Controller position at American Pest? For starters, you'll have at least a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. You'll also have...

  • CPA required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with accrual accounting required, acquisition integration experience a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Management role
  • Financial Management experience required
  • Ability to create financial modeling and forecasting tools
  • A strong understanding and functional application of MS Office Suite with an especially strong understanding of Excel
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities according to urgency and importance in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy
  • The ability to be a positive, up-beat, team-player
  • High attention to detail and a desire for getting things right
  • The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
