If you accept this job, you will oversee all our accounting functions'accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, billing, account reconciliation, all general ledger functions, financial reporting, etc. You will oversee our month-end close process and assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. You will have direct supervision over the accounting department (3-4 direct reports), and will report to the Vice President of Finance.

You thrive on structure and established procedures, making sure each task is carefully completed before proudly checking it off your to do list. You are reliable and appreciate clear guidelines and direction, and are able to meet even aggressive deadlines for tasks when they are communicated with appropriate notice. Any prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations will be put to use as we are transitioning to this software in a few months (we currently use QuickBooks). We use Office365 and all our files are accessible remotely, allowing for occasional work-from-home days and strong work-life balance.

Essential Duties: 

• Supervise an accounting team of 3-4 people
• Oversee all functions of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, billing, GL, and reporting
• Be familiar with, and able to provide backup coverage for, all department duties, such as:
  • Entering and reconciling customer payments
  • Processing customer credit cards
  • Accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices through all steps to payment
  • Export customer invoices
  • Create and process invoices for customers with unique invoicing needs
  • Answer customer and vendor questions regarding all accounting matters
  • Credit memos
  • Customer refunds
  • Bank Reconciliations
• Communicate with commercial & residential customers regarding account balances, missing payments, billing schedules, and any other questions received via telephone, mail and email
• Follow all month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Additional Responsibilities:
  • Keep our accounting procedures manual updated, including tweaking or refreshing procedures when improvement is needed
  • Assist with preparing the annual budget and re-forecast
  • Enter monthly financial results into Cognos, where they are consolidated with the rest of the Anticimex group

Qualifications:

*Four-year accounting degree from an accredited university

*Previous management experience preferred

*3 years of accounting experience required

*Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP formulas are frequently used

*QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations experience preferred

*Payroll experience preferred (currently use ADP)
